We named the Masonic Theatre Ghost Light Guild after this tradition. It represents those who keep our light burning.Supporters who believe in the power of live theatre to connect, inspire, and transform.
RiverTowne Players began as a grassroots effort to bring meaningful performance to the New Bern community. Over the years, we’ve grown into a vital cultural presence, producing plays, musicals, and youth programs that reflect both local spirit and artistic excellence.
While we haven’t always called the Masonic Theatre home, our time here has deepened our commitment to preserving this historic space not just as a venue, but as a living part of New Bern’s identity. Today, our mission extends beyond the stage. We nurture young artists through scholarships, foster inclusive programming, and safeguard the legacy of the Masonic Theatre for generations to come.
