RiverTowne Players proudly announces Camp Bravo, a two-week musical theatre intensive for students aged 8-16

 

RiverTowne Players is proud to announce the return of Camp Bravo, its summer youth theatre intensive, running July 6–17, 2026 at the Historic Masonic Theatre, 514 Hancock Street, New Bern. Camp meets Monday through Friday, 9am–3pm.

Leading this year's camp are two standout names from the New Bern theatre community: Holly Holder, serving as Camp Director, and Will Duvall, as Assistant Director. Both are deeply familiar to local students and families through their work on RiverTowne stages, bringing expertise, warmth, and a shared passion for nurturing young performers.

Camp Bravo 2026 introduces a two-track structure designed to meet every young performer where they are:

The Explorers Track welcomes cadets new to theatre or early in their journey. Participants will build ensemble skills, discover their stage presence, and work toward a culminating showcase. All within a joyful, high-energy environment.

The Intensive Track is designed for cadets with some experience who are ready to go deeper. In addition to ensemble work, Intensive Track participants will develop audition and callback technique, build leadership skills, and position themselves for upcoming youth mainstage opportunities with RiverTowne Players and beyond.

Both tracks culminate in two showcase performances - Friday, July 17 at 3:00pm and Saturday, July 18 at 3:00pm giving every cadet the chance to shine in front of family and friends.

Camp Bravo includes a camp t-shirt for every cadet. Registration is $300 per cadet, with a $100 deposit to hold your spot. Payment plans are available, with the full balance due by the start of camp.
