Meet Our Camp Director Nora Blalock

New Bern native and cherished member of our theater community, Nora Blalock, is thrilled to return to the summer camp scene this year! A passionate actress, choreographer, and mentor, Nora’s journey in theater started right here in New Bern, where she began performing with RiverTowne Players at the young age of 10. Nora honed her craft by studying dance and choreography at Hunter College in New York City. Her talents and dedication have shone on and off the stage—she’s choreographed numerous productions and directed youth workshops, all while inspiring the next generation of theater kids and leaders.

Her summer camp experience is a full-circle story: once a camper at RiverTowne’s Camp Broadway and NBCT’s Next Generation Workshop, Nora later returned as an intern for both. In 2019, she directed the Summer Workshop at New Bern Civic Theatre, leaving a lasting impact on campers and the community alike. With her deep love for the arts and commitment to nurturing young talent, Nora’s return to working with campers promises to make this summer an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!
